Great Neck backflow testing a partner of Long Island Backflow Testing Inc. Is now the number one provider for Backflow Testing and Rain Gauge certification in the Great Neck area.
A backflow prevention device stops water from irrigation system, hot tubs, pools, new construction or other sources of potentially impure water from flowing back into the public drinking water supply. The devices are required to be tested annually by a state certified tester and the paperwork submitted to the Water Authority by the date on the bottom of each customer’s second quarter bill.
Customers with an in-ground sprinkler system are required to also test their rain gauge/moisture sensors each year
The New York State Sanitary Code requires water suppliers to protect our water supply and prevent back siphoning or reverse flow of water from irrigation systems, hot tubs, pools, new construction or other sources that could connect non-potable water with the potable water supply.
Pursuant to the Code, Water Authority of Great Neck North regulations require residents to have their backflow devices tested annually by a certified backflow tester. Customers with an in-ground sprinkler system must test their rain gauge/moisture sensors annually as well.
It is the responsibility of homeowners and business owners to have their backflow tested and the certification(s) submitted to the Water Authority by the required due date.
